Christmas, Christmas, and holiday shows!

Soo... I had a very merry Christmas with my family and was lucky enough to get lots of great stuff from Santa! I got a new blue hippo toy, that is awesome, and several others! My mom had a good Christmas too. We had a good time visiting everyone back in Indianapolis.

During the month of December, we were in several shows! We did the Bucktown Holiday Art Show, we had a really good time and got to meet lots of new people! We also did the Jingle.Mingle.Shop event that was held at Germania Place at North and Clark in Chicago, it was fun too.

Below is a pic from the Bucktown Holiday Art Show:

Come See Us at the Bucktown Holiday Art Show!

We are stoked to be exhibiting at the Bucktown Holiday Art Show this season. It is the largest holiday art show in Chicago and takes place December 6th and 7th at the Holstein Park Fieldhouse at 2200 N. Oakley in the Bucktown neighborhood. Over 100 artists will be participating in the 10th year of this show. We will be there with tons of great doggie gear, ready to fill the stockings of pups citywide! As our special guest, you can get free admission to the show! I have included our postcard for you to download and come out and see us! Louisville Pet Expo

We exhibited at the Louisville Pet Expo on September 27 & 28. We had a good time, and met a lot of our Southern doggie friends. We also found out about many other Pet Expos that we look forward to exhibiting at in the coming year. One BIG Bummer of the weekend was that I got VERY SICK and had to see the emergency vet. My mom rushed me to the Jefferson Animal Hospital, I was having a lot of stomach and bladder problems. My mom and grandparents were with me and I as SO SCARED! I was shaking the whole time we were at the vet. They gave me a bunch of medicine. My mom had to leave the Expo a little early with me on Sunday so that we could get back to Chicago. My mom rushed me to the emergency vet once we were home because I was still just sooo sick. They gave me some new medicine and I started to feel a little better within a few days. I feel GREAT now! I am going to include a picture of my mom and I at our our booth at the Louisville Pet Expo (this was taken BEFORE I got sick!)

Doggy Happy Hours a Success!

We had a great time over the summer at the Doggy Happy Hours at Joe's Bar on Weed St! My mom has been teaching a lot of art lately, so we haven't been able to blog as much as we would have liked! We had lots of friends come out to see us, and made many new friends! My mom introduced the newest line of doggy t-shirts at the happy hours, and they are just now finally available on our website! I love them and wear mine all the time!

Design Your Own Dog Coat!!

The Sophisticated Pup "Doggy Design Shop" is up and running! It has been a loooong process getting it online, but it is finally up! It has its kinks... it's a little slow loading due to the massive size of the file... but be patient, it's worth the wait!!!

There are sooo many different fabric options and they all have to load before you can switch between the fabrics freely, but once they are up, it is smooth sailing! Those of you with slower internet connections may be at a disadvantage.

I will continue to work to tweak the "DDS" but in the meantime, I am just ecstatic that it is finally up!

Enjoy!!

Pug Party = Super Fun

So... my mom and I went to the Pug Party at Joe's a couple of weeks ago, let me tell you, it was SUPER FUN! I had a great time! I wore my favorite "Think Pink" T-shirt and everyone loved it! My mom wore a pink sweater and we had a photo shoot with a pet photographer. I have never seen so many of my relatives in one place, there must have been 300+ pugs there! I can't wait until next year! There was a costume contest, but my mom didn't know about it, so we didn't get registered. We definitely will next time!

Dog Park Snobs...

So, normally I'm a pretty positive, upbeat pup on my blog. Well, my mom and I have bone to pick with the inconsiderate dog park snobs at Coliseum Park (14th and Wabash).

So... it is a super nice day and my mom came home from work and surprised me with a nice long walk around the neighborhood. Anyways, we go to Coliseum Park and my mom let's me go into the dog run area (I USUALLY love it). Well, today it was just all big dogs and they wouldn't let me play! I didn't like it at all!

To top things off, one of the big dogs ran over to my mom and jumped up on her and got her adidas track pants all muddy! All that silly, sloppy, drooling, completely uncooth dog mom did was say, "Oh we know better than to wear light colored pants here." No apology, no nothing! Can you believe it?!

My mom was so irritated! But, being the nice, dog mom that she is, she didn't say anything to the annoying dog park snobs. It is true that we don't go to that park all THAT much, but when we do, we should be allowed to play!

Some people can be sooo clicky in their dog park crowds, we don't like it. :(

I guess we'll have to go to Cottontail Park from now on. Coliseum Park, we are really disappointed!

New Designs- What do the dogs want??

Well, it's about time for Sophisticated Pup to release some new designs. I keep telling my mom that the dogs need some new stuff! We would like to ask all the dogs out there for suggestions-what kind of designs do you want? My mom has an abundance of ideas in her head, it is just hard for her sometimes to get them produced! Being a doggie designer can be time consuming! Anyways, please send us your ideas! We want to hear it straight from the dog's mouth! Thanks, have a great Tuesday!

Yummy! I love my new dog food!

My mom got me a kind of dog food this week, she thought that maybe I didn't like my old one very well-she was right! So, she went to Petsmart and got me some Royal Canin food. It is the best! I get so excited when she puts it in my bowl! I ate 3 bowls right away!

Santa was good me!

Christmas was a blast! We went to my grandparents house and I got to play with my cousin Simon, he's a lahsa apso. My mom and I brought a bunch of gifts for everyone and I got a bunch of gifts too! I got a pink poodle stuffed toy, LOTS of balls that squeak, a monkey that squeaks (it's my favorite!), a magazine about pugs (I've decided to take up reading!), and lots and lots of treats! It was the best! My uncle Ryan flew in to Chicago and visited us for a few days. Then we headed down to Indianapolis with my other favorite Ryan. I had a sleep over with my grandparents while my mom was gone one of the nights! It was fun!
